first... blog?
July 17, 2026

holy crap, uhhh... hi???
its 4am, i got work tomorrow (err, later...), and what am i doing? tinkering away at this website. am i fucked? yes. but am i having fun? ...honestly, yeah.
it feels like i'm reliving my past a little. see, even though i'm a 90's baby i was exposed to the internet pretty early. like... my parents first took me to an internet cafe back when i was 6, maybe? and what did i do? go on google dot com and look up pictures of donald duck.
but yeah, i kiiiinda grew up on the internet. it wasn't until 2008 when things really kicked off for me. we got a family laptop and my uncle taught me the ropes. and, well... that's how it all started. first, it was friendster. man, does anyone remember that? i feel like the west had myspace, but the philippines? we were crazy on friendster. everyone was ON that thing. i was only in 3rd grade, but most of my classmates had an account.
friendster was actually my first exposure to html and css. did i understand anything? absolutely not. i just looked through themes, chose the COOLEST sasuke theme, then did some good ol' copy-pasta.
okay, that was a lie. i was such a computer noob at the time that i asked my classmate to do that for me. even gave him my password. wow, those were the times, huh? lmao.
eventually, i got the hang of the basics and did that stuff on my own. my god, i changed themes so frequently. i think i remember one theme i reaaaally liked was an avril lavigne-esque. like, her "best damn thing" era. pink and black, skulls... yeahhhh...
speaking of pink, i used to hate pink and everything girly girl. and look at my neocities now, lol... very pink, very girly. despite how girly girl everything is, my way of talking isnt as delicate, haha.
ANYWAY, wow... i keep going on dumb tangents.
i never actually used geocities as a kid. was too dumb for that shit. i was too focused on pokemon and naruto, lol. the most i did was save pictures from glitter-graphics. well, i did frequent chatango a lot at one point. i did some html stuff in there, but just the very basic stuff. it was quite barebones. it was just a bunch of words and gifs all over, haha. nothing fancy.
so, like... yeah. im a noob, i used a template, and i needed to look up every single thing i wanted to do for this page, but im proud of what i've done ^^ i mean, i'm not done yet... far from it, but at the very least, the homepage is done, along with the blog and guestbook sections.
did yall know i just edited everything on neocities at first? then i found out you could do it through visual studio. lol, the amount of updates i did... wooooops...
but yeah, i got inspired to make this neocities website. everyone got such cute websites, it made me wanna do one! even with my uber limited knowledge... but it was so fun. so, so fun that it keeps making me stay up at ungodly hours. but yeah, it's cozy. it reminds me of all the times when i was young when i stayed up at night, engrossed in whatever gripped me at the time. fanfics, anime, weird rabbit holes... maybe the closest thing would be whenever i edited my tumblr.
anyway, that's enough of my yapping.
tl;dr: i made a neocities page, its a wip, but im happy with it so far!
and im having tons of fun!!
if anyone read through this shitshow, thank you!!! and why!!! just kidding.
